Dentasys vs Nubimed: two cloud programs, two ways of charging

Nubimed and Dentasys agree on the basics: both live in the cloud, both have a WhatsApp bot and AI phone answering, and both transfer your data. They differ in how they charge and in what the AI does inside the program.

In short

Nubimed is cloud clinical software for several specialities, with a dental program that includes an odontogram, periodontal chart, patient portal, WhatsApp and an AI phone assistant. It charges a base plan (Lite €27.40 or Premium €50.10 a month + VAT, with one user with a diary) plus a supplement for each professional with a diary. Dentasys is dental-only software with a fee of €80/month + VAT for the whole practice, with unlimited users and dentists and no extra modules, and adds AI-written treatment plans, Dasy (an AI assistant that carries out tasks inside the program), marketing measured in patients and euros, and staff time tracking. With few dentists, Nubimed usually works out cheaper; Dentasys pays off if you are going to use its AI and its marketing.

What each one costs with your team

Nubimed charges a base plan and a supplement for each professional with a diary; reception and admin do not pay. At its published rates, a practice with three dentists on Premium pays €60.30 + VAT a month, and on Lite, €32.20 + VAT. On the fee alone, Nubimed is cheaper than Dentasys for a small team, and it is worth saying so plainly.

Dentasys charges €80 + VAT a month for the whole practice, with no extra modules: AI treatment plans, Dasy, marketing, invoicing, inventory and staff time tracking are already included. The price difference is justified if you are going to use those features; if you only need a diary, clinical records and reminders, Nubimed is better value.

Multi-speciality software versus dental-only software

Nubimed serves many specialities and has its own dental program with an odontogram, periodontal chart and treatment plans. Dentasys does nothing but dentistry: there is no version of Dentasys for physiotherapy or psychology.

That shows in features such as the treatment plan prepared from what you dictate in the surgery, the periodontal chart with history or the bridge that opens the patient's X-ray from their record. If your centre combines dentistry with other specialities, Nubimed's breadth is a real advantage.

What you get on top with Dentasys

Both answer calls and WhatsApp with AI. These are the features Nubimed does not list on its website:

  • Dasy, an AI assistant that carries out tasks inside the program.
  • AI-prepared treatment plans based on your clinical notes.
  • Marketing that posts on social media and your Google Business Profile and measures how many patients and euros each campaign brings in.
  • Legally compliant staff time tracking, with no separate app.
  • Unlimited users and dentists for the same fee.

Where Nubimed is strong (our words)

  • · Low entry price, with reception and admin users at no extra cost.
  • · Odontogram with periodontal chart, patient portal and free data transfer.
  • · AI phone assistant and WhatsApp bot that book appointments.

Our verdict

If you are looking for the lowest entry price, a patient portal or a program that also covers other specialities, Nubimed is a very good fit. If you want dental-only software, with unlimited users for a fixed fee and AI that prepares treatment plans, carries out tasks for you and measures marketing in euros, Dentasys will deliver more for you.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper, Dentasys or Nubimed?
On the fee, Nubimed. Its Lite plan starts at €27.40 + VAT a month and Premium at €50.10 + VAT, plus €2.40 or €5.10 for each professional with a diary. Dentasys costs €80 + VAT a month with unlimited users, and includes AI treatment plans, Dasy, marketing measured in euros and staff time tracking. The fair comparison is against what you will actually use.
Does Nubimed have an AI phone receptionist like Dentasys?

Yes. Our team carries out the assisted migration from your current program: patients, clinical history, diary, treatment plans and invoicing. It costs €500 + VAT and is free with the annual plan.
Does Dentasys have a patient portal or video consultation?
No. Nubimed does offer a patient portal and remote appointments. In Dentasys, contact with the patient goes through WhatsApp, email and signing on a tablet or their mobile.
